PANews reported on February 17th that former ECC executive Josh Swihart posted on the X platform that after the Zcash core development team left Electric Coin Company in January due to governance disagreements, a new entity, Zcash Open Development Lab (ZODL), has been officially established. The Zashi wallet will be renamed Zodl with the next update, and users do not need to perform any operations. This rebranding will not affect user funds, mnemonic phrases, or wallet functionality. The original development team will continue to be responsible for maintenance, and more updates will be announced later.
