Shiba Inu Community Prepares for ‘Ultra Important’ SHIB Discussion This Sunday

  • Shiba Inu lead ambassador Shytoshi Kusama returns after weeks of silence to schedule a two-hour SHIB update for Sunday.
  • SHIB community is demanding clarity after the Shibarium hack, leadership shift, and delayed development updates.

Shytoshi Kusama, the lead ambassador for Shiba Inu, has confirmed an “ultra important” discussion scheduled for this Sunday. The session will take two hours, and it is likely to center around the current issues and future roadmap of SHIB.

Recent months have been full of uncertainty for the Shiba Inu community, starting with the Shibarium hack in September that caused significant losses. Kusama has maintained a low profile since then. While he said that he was still working in the background, his lack of visible presence led to requests for more regular participation. He replied to those who encouraged him to speak by saying that sometimes one can use silence as a weapon of quiet war.

This silence came after he shifted in January from being the lead developer to becoming a SHIB ambassador, though he is still working on the project. During this time, Kusama alleged that his visionary role was over and that the future direction would be in implementation and internationalization.

He explained, “There is no more vision needed, only execution and communications,” adding that he would now help builders integrate Shiba Inu’s technology stack into real-world applications.

Expectations for Shiba Inu’s Sunday Update and Community Response

As Shiba Inu’s on-chain activity has decelerated over the last couple of months, and there has been little communication by the main developers, investors have voiced concerns. User Ruggrat noted on X that visible leadership can be helpful: “Even a handful of grounded words of leadership can make a point at moments such as clarity, encouragement, accountability, and a clear way forward.”

In reply, Kusama hinted that problems would be addressed methodically, writing, “One bandage. Take off. Fix. Put on. One at a time.” The upcoming Sunday session is seen as an opportunity to outline that approach in full. SHIB supporters expect updates on ecosystem tokens, the 2026 roadmap, and possible technical upgrades.

Kusama had earlier teased a shift in strategy involving artificial intelligence. In July last year, he published an AI Paper outlining how the development of Shiba Inu would be simplified with the help of AI. Recent statements suggest these tools may be part of a larger effort to complete the “puzzle” of the Shiba ecosystem, including SHIB, LEASH, BONE, and the newer token, TREAT.

According to comments from Shytoshi Kusama on X, “The structure exists, but it has yet to be fully filled in.” This mirrors his earlier metaphor that the foundational elements are ready, but the system needs final assembly to achieve functional maturity.

Another development that the community is awaiting is the proposed Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) integration. As we earlier reported, developers of Shiba Inu are working with Zama to integrate encrypted transactions throughout the ecosystem, which will enhance privacy.

Meanwhile, the Shiba Inu token has faced a bearish phase after failing to break local resistance. At press time, the SHIB price was trading at $0.000007063, a 1.8% decline.

Jump’s Firedancer Team Proposes Removing Solana Block Limit After Alpenglow Upgrade

PANews reported on September 29th that according to The Block, Jump Crypto's Firedancer team is building a high-performance client for Solana. Their SIMD-0370 proposal proposes removing the current fixed limit of 60 million CUs per block (a previous proposal had raised this limit to 100 million) after Solana's major Alpenglow upgrade, scheduled for testing later this year. Without a fixed limit, block size would adjust based on the transaction volume accommodated by high-performance validators, while weaker validators would automatically abstain from voting on oversized blocks by skipping the voting mechanism. The proposal argues that removing the limit would encourage well-funded block producers to upgrade their hardware and add more transactions to increase revenue, incentivizing others to follow suit, creating a "flywheel effect" and increasing the average capacity of validator clients. Roger Wattenhofer, head of research at Anza and a driving force behind Solana's Alpenglow upgrade, supports removing the limit but also expresses concerns about potential centralization and network stability risks. He stated that these issues are solvable and that he has been a staunch supporter of removing the limit.
