The Saturday Night Main Event card is finally complete. Friday night’s episode of SmackDown saw a new match added to the card after a solid go-home show.
What New Match Was Added to the SNME Card on Smackdown?
AJ Styles will continue his epic last year as a competitor. He’ll take on Shinsuke Nakamura in Montreal.
On SmackDown, Nakamura interrupted a backstage segment with Styles and Nick Aldis, challenging AJ to prove he’s still “phenomenal” before putting his career on the line against GUNTHER at the Royal Rumble. The WrestleMania rematch showcase adds another layer to an already stacked card.
Saturday Night’s Main Event: What’s the Full Card?
There’s only four matches on the card, but things could get interesting.
Saturday Night’s Main Event takes place Saturday, January 24, 2026, from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, streaming on Peacock in the U.S. and Netflix internationally with a start time of 8 p.m. ET.
What Surprises Could Happen on Saturday Night’s Main Event?
Chris Jericho. That’s the answer. Many of us are preparing to see him show up at the Royal Rumble, but what if he shows up at Saturday Night’s Main Event?
Beyond Jericho, Roman Reigns could re-emerge in Montreal, possibly aligning with Jacob Fatu to reignite the Reigns-Rhodes rivalry and pivot Cody toward a Bloodline-adjacent story heading into the Rumble. Randy Orton influencing the finish of Rhodes-Fatu or a brief Rock appearance are also possibilities being floated. WWE’s last major stop before the Royal Rumble is shaping up to be appointment viewing.
There is a ton of potential for Saturday Night’s Main Event to be epic. If we get a Jericho arrival or some details about Rhodes’ potential attack on Fatu. Let’s hope we’re not let down.
