What does BSC’s future look like? CZ’s latest roadmap points to THREE key areas!

3 min read

After the latest edition of the World Economic Forum, it’s clear that L1s are positioning themselves for the next growth cycle. For crypto enthusiasts and investors alike, this means tracking where the industry is heading.

Notably, Binance founder CZ has outlined a clear roadmap. In particular, he has identified three sectors with the highest growth potential, often referred to as the “three pillars of the future” – Tokenization, AI agents, and payments.

Naturally, the question is – What does this mean for Binance Chain [BSC]? On the payments front, CZ expressed confidence, pointing to BSC’s ability to handle $14 billion in withdrawals in a single week as proof of scale.

Meanwhile, on the tokenization side, CZ highlighted growing government-led RWA momentum, noting that he has spoken to “dozens” of governments about bringing assets on-chain, putting BSC at the forefront.

At the same time, on the AI agent front, CZ also underlined the rise of autonomous wallets using crypto for payments, operating without human intervention. Together, these use cases are evidence of what CZ sees as the future of blockchain.

The question now is – Can BSC catch up and compete across these areas?

Tracking BSC’s DeFi momentum across key areas

Dominance in DeFi comes down to controlling on-chain liquidity.

That said, BSC has seen significant capital flows across these sectors. Although it still trails Ethereum [ETH] in total value of tokenized assets, it is notable that BSC posts nearly 2x the % growth over a 30-day period.

Notably, the same pattern can be seen in stablecoin flows too. ETH added about $52 billion in 2025 – A 46% YoY increase while BSC added $8.6 billion. This marked a 94% jump – Reflecting a smaller base but stronger relative growth.

In short, BSC still has a long way to go to match ETH’s total liquidity. However, its % growth is also indicative of increasing adoption. In turn, this is a sign that it is gaining traction in the broader DeFi and tokenization landscape.

Against this setup, CZ’s roadmap, driving RWA momentum, faster transactions, and AI-led payments, lines up neatly with BSC’s on-chain liquidity, highlighting its potential to capture growth across these areas.

This will position BSC on track for a fundamentals-led growth cycle.

Final Thoughts

  • Despite trailing Ethereum in total liquidity, BSC has been posting nearly 2x growth in tokenized assets.
  • Focused on RWA, faster transactions, and AI-powered payments, CZ’s roadmap positions Binance for a fundamentals-driven growth cycle.

UK crypto holders brace for FCA’s expanded regulatory reach

The post UK crypto holders brace for FCA’s expanded regulatory reach appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. British crypto holders may soon face a very different landscape as the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) moves to expand its regulatory reach in the industry. A new consultation paper outlines how the watchdog intends to apply its rulebook to crypto firms, shaping everything from asset safeguarding to trading platform operation. According to the financial regulator, these proposals would translate into clearer protections for retail investors and stricter oversight of crypto firms. UK FCA plans Until now, UK crypto users mostly encountered the FCA through rules on promotions and anti-money laundering checks. The consultation paper goes much further. It proposes direct oversight of stablecoin issuers, custodians, and crypto-asset trading platforms (CATPs). For investors, that means the wallets, exchanges, and coins they rely on could soon be subject to the same governance and resilience standards as traditional financial institutions. The regulator has also clarified that firms need official authorization before serving customers. This condition should, in theory, reduce the risk of sudden platform failures or unclear accountability. David Geale, the FCA’s executive director of payments and digital finance, said the proposals are designed to strike a balance between innovation and protection. He explained: “We want to develop a sustainable and competitive crypto sector – balancing innovation, market integrity and trust.” Geale noted that while the rules will not eliminate investment risks, they will create consistent standards, helping consumers understand what to expect from registered firms. Why does this matter for crypto holders? The UK regulatory framework shift would provide safer custody of assets, better disclosure of risks, and clearer recourse if something goes wrong. However, the regulator was also frank in its submission, arguing that no rulebook can eliminate the volatility or inherent risks of holding digital assets. Instead, the focus is on ensuring that when consumers choose to invest, they do…
