Solana Users Set to Receive 1.8B SKR Tokens in New Airdrop Event

Solana’s SKR airdrop starts January 21, distributing 1.8B tokens to over 100K users. Track allocations via Seed Vault wallets.

Solana users are gearing up for an exciting event. The Seeker team has confirmed the distribution of over 1.8 billion SKR tokens.

These tokens will be given away through an airdrop, with the event scheduled to start on January 21.

To improve transparency, Solana Mobile introduced an allocation tracker that lets users preview rewards in advance.

Solana Airdrop Tracker Provides Preview of Allocations

Solana Mobile has rolled out an allocation tracker to help users check their potential rewards.

Participants can now access their Seed Vault wallets to see how many SKR tokens they will receive.

This feature provides transparency, ensuring that users know what to expect before the airdrop begins.

The airdrop is expected to distribute around 1.8 billion SKR tokens to over 100,000 participants.

Solana’s mobile ecosystem will also reward 188 developers with over 141 million SKR tokens. This wide distribution helps ensure that both users and developers benefit from the upcoming event.

The tracker also offers a view of allocations before the tokens become transferable.

By giving users early access to this information, Solana Mobile aims to create a more informed and confident community.

This transparency is critical as the airdrop approaches, allowing participants to plan accordingly.

SKR Token Distribution Plan and Key Allocations

The SKR token distribution will primarily benefit Solana’s community and developers. About two-thirds of the total 1.8 billion tokens will go to participants in the airdrop.

Seeker phone owners and active developers are the main recipients of these tokens.

Solana Mobile will hold 15% of the total SKR tokens, while Solana Labs will retain 10%. An additional 10% will be allocated to the community treasury.

These allocations ensure that Solana’s ecosystem is well-supported and sustainable in the long term.

The token distribution plan is designed to reward both early adopters and active contributors.

By providing significant incentives to phone owners and developers, Solana Mobile is fostering a vibrant community.

This broad distribution plan is aimed at encouraging further growth and adoption of the Solana mobile ecosystem.

Staking and Governance Features for SKR Token Holders

Alongside the airdrop, Solana Mobile is launching staking for SKR token holders. Users can stake their tokens directly through the Seed Vault Wallet to earn rewards.

A tiered system will determine the amount of rewards based on users’ participation levels.

The staking rewards range from 5,000 SKR tokens at the lowest tier to much larger amounts for higher levels of involvement.

This system encourages users to engage more with the Solana ecosystem and accumulate greater rewards.

By incentivizing staking, Solana Mobile aims to increase long-term commitment from its users.

The SKR token will also serve as a governance token. Holders will be able to vote on key decisions regarding the platform.

This feature allows users to have a direct impact on the platform’s development and future updates.

UK Looks to US to Adopt More Crypto-Friendly Approach

The post UK Looks to US to Adopt More Crypto-Friendly Approach appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The UK and US are reportedly preparing to deepen cooperation on digital assets, with Britain looking to copy the Trump administration’s crypto-friendly stance in a bid to boost innovation.  UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent discussed on Tuesday how the two nations could strengthen their coordination on crypto, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.  The discussions also involved representatives from crypto companies, including Coinbase, Circle Internet Group and Ripple, with executives from the Bank of America, Barclays and Citi also attending, according to the report. The agreement was made “last-minute” after crypto advocacy groups urged the UK government on Thursday to adopt a more open stance toward the industry, claiming its cautious approach to the sector has left the country lagging in innovation and policy.  Source: Rachel Reeves Deal to include stablecoins, look to unlock adoption Any deal between the countries is likely to include stablecoins, the Financial Times reported, an area of crypto that US President Donald Trump made a policy priority and in which his family has significant business interests. The Financial Times reported on Monday that UK crypto advocacy groups also slammed the Bank of England’s proposal to limit individual stablecoin holdings to between 10,000 British pounds ($13,650) and 20,000 pounds ($27,300), claiming it would be difficult and expensive to implement. UK banks appear to have slowed adoption too, with around 40% of 2,000 recently surveyed crypto investors saying that their banks had either blocked or delayed a payment to a crypto provider.  Many of these actions have been linked to concerns over volatility, fraud and scams. The UK has made some progress on crypto regulation recently, proposing a framework in May that would see crypto exchanges, dealers, and agents treated similarly to traditional finance firms, with…
