Oman Investment Authority (OIA) has invested in Vietnam-based Vingroup’s $255 million private credit financing to support the growth of the Vietnamese hospitality sector.
Other investors include Singapore’s investment company Temasek and Vietnam Oman Investment, a joint venture between OIA and the State Capital Investment Corporation of Vietnam, Vingroup said in a statement.
The investment provides additional resources for Vinpearl, Vingroup’s hospitality arm. Founded in 2003, Vinpearl operates 60 facilities with over 17,500 rooms across 20 provinces and cities in Vietnam. It has 16 theme parks, six golf courses and three convention and performing arts centres.
In May OIA, the sultanate’s sovereign wealth fund, reported an annual profit of OMR2.9 billion ($7.5 billion) in 2025, up 86 percent from OMR1.6 billion in 2024. Assets under management rose 13 percent to OMR23 billion.
