'Pray for America': Petrified MAGA now fleeing their 'madman'

MAGA was initially thrilled that President Donald Trump entered the scene with his open brutality, and willingness to wallow in political incorrectness. He also stormed Republican primaries stating the obvious: that Republican warns in the Middle East were stupid, costly and had no real end.

But now an American president who they championed is promising to level “civilization” in Iran roughly a year after he campaigned on “no new wars” in 2024, and MAGA is afraid of their own creation.

“We did this to ourselves. And to the world,” posted Breck Worsham, a three-time Trump voter who also worked on his campaigns. “… In the wake of so much political correctness, it was refreshing to see a man who didn't care what people thought. He was a breath of fresh air. He wasn't a politician and that's what I loved about him. … We said, ’let Trump be Trump.’ Now here we are. On the brink of nuclear war. Pray for America.”

Panicking MAGA everywhere appear to be clinging to one another and wailing at the creature they’ve let lose onto the townspeople, according to NBC News.

“The roster of conservative luminaries rebuking Trump over Iran this week could have been cut and pasted from a list of his most reliable supporters of the past: Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones, Mike Cernovich, former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Turning Point USA's former communications director Candace Owens, among many others,” reports NBC News.

"Trump would not have won the primary in 2016 had he run on Mitt Romney’s platform, nor would he have won the 2024 election by running on new wars," said Cernovich, the right-wing influencer who promoted pizzagate and other conspiracy theories. "It’s silly to claim Trump is MAGA. He rode a cultural wave, only he had the personal will to do so, but the issues matter, too."

But Trump is MAGA, because one does not exist without the other. The Washington Post reports Trump even adopted the MAGA phrase and got lawyers to lock it down for him. Allegedly it happened on Nov. 7, 2012, the day after Romney lost to President Obama and Republicans were looking for a new path. On the 26th floor of a golden Manhattan tower, the Post reports Trump was scouting for a new brand: “Make America Great Again.”

“I said, ‘That is so good.’ I wrote it down,” reports the Post. “I went to my lawyers. I have a lot of lawyers in-house. We have many lawyers. I have got guys that handle this stuff. I said, ‘See if you can have this registered and trademarked.’”

But now, Jones and Greene are calling for Trump’s own Cabinet to use the 25th Amendment of the Constitution to declare Trump unfit for his duties and yank him from office, reports NBC. And Carlson has advised Trump's military aides to “reject any plan to slaughter Iranian civilians,” especially with nuclear weapons.

"Now it’s time to say no, absolutely not, and say it directly to the president, no," Carlson said on his podcast. Earlier he warned on X that "Desecrating Easter was the first step toward nuclear war. Christians need to understand where Trump is taking us."

MS NOW collected its own list of damning social media posts — and none of them from Democrats.

“This is evil and madness.” “He is a genocidal lunatic.” “Vile on every level.”

“These … [are] some of Trump’s most loyal adherents, who are both fed up with what they see as the president’s abandonment of his ‘America First’ platform and alarmed by the destruction he has promised to unleash as his deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, looms,” reports MS NOW, in response to Trump’s expletive-laden ultimatum to Iran.

And it’s not just MAGA influencers and former employees. Members of the political party that gives Trump his incredible power appear to be reaching a breaking point, reports USA Today. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), a staunch Trump ally, showed concerns about attacking Iranian bridges and power plants.

“I am hoping and praying … this really is bluster,” Johnson said April 6 on the John Solomon Reports podcast. “I do not want to see us start blowing up civilian infrastructure. I do not want to see that.”

However, it’s difficult to recognize if a party so beholden to Trump is finally having reservations, despite what should be an easy decision, according to Matthew Bartlett, a former appointee at the State Department in the first Trump administration.

“[I’m] not sure talking about war like a psychopath is winning over the hearts and minds of Iranians or Americans,” Bartlett told MS NOW, adding “Sometimes, the madman theory reveals only a mad man.”
